9.1 Performance Area: For any outdoor engagement, the Client must provide a level, firm, and dry surface. Performance on long grass, mud, or uneven earth is not permitted due to the risk of damage to props and Performer safety.
9.2 Overhead Cover: The Client is responsible for providing professional-grade overhead cover (e.g., a waterproof marquee or gazebo with side panels). This is required to protect the Performer, delicate magic apparatus, and electronic sound equipment from:
Direct precipitation (rain, drizzle, or mist).
Extreme heat/direct sunlight (which can damage props and affect performance quality).
High winds.
9.3 Electrical Safety: If the Performer requires power for an outdoor show, the Client must ensure all supplied extension leads and sockets are IP-rated (waterproof) and protected by an RCD (Residual Current Device). Cables must be safely covered to prevent trip hazards.
9.4 The “Plan B” (Indoor Alternative): It is strongly recommended that the Client has an indoor backup space available. If weather conditions are deemed unsafe by the Performer and no indoor alternative is provided, the Performer reserves the right to cancel the performance. In this instance, the full fee remains payable.
9.5 Performer’s Discretion: The Performer holds the final decision-making power regarding the safety of the performance environment. If wind, rain, or temperature poses a risk to the Performer’s health or the integrity of the equipment, the show may be paused or stopped without a refund.
